Warsaw City Centre

Warsaw Śródmieście is currently the most business-oriented district of Warsaw and the best location for a virtual office. Together with nearby Wola, it forms a coherent area where more and more so-called skyscrapers, high office buildings, appear every year, emphasizing the business character of the city center.

Warsaw also has a district that is strictly business-focused: Służewiec Przemysłowy (83 office buildings). However, this area mainly consists of older, low-rise office buildings with less convenient transport access. Due to difficult commuting, it gained the nickname “Mordor,” and many business tenants are now moving to Śródmieście and nearby Wola, both well connected by the metro. Office buildings such as Central Point or Varso Tower are directly integrated into major metro lines and suburban rail connections.

The main arteries of Warsaw’s Śródmieście are Jerozolimskie Avenue, Marszałkowska Street, and Świętokrzyska Street.
These street names are recognized all over Poland.

Many people also associate the city center with smaller streets such as Złota Street, known for the Złote Tarasy shopping center and the luxury residential building Złota 44 (the Libeskind Sail). Streets like Nowogrodzka, Żurawia, Hoża, Wilcza, Wspólna, Chmielna, and Mazowiecka not only offer the beauty of classic big-city tenement houses, but are also widely known across the country thanks to major cultural institutions, political organizations, music clubs, and the headquarters of well-known companies.

Warsaw Śródmieście is also home to numerous law firms, attorneys’ offices, notary offices, and bailiffs, which can be found in almost every building. Many tenement houses in Śródmieście have a strictly office character, especially on Mazowiecka Street, which is also famous for its nationally known music clubs. As a result, many buildings there have been converted into offices for rent.
